“we will be wanting the voices of writers who can see alternatives to how we live now …to other ways of being. And even imagine some real grounds for hope. We will need writers who can remember freedom: poets, visionaries—the realists of a larger reality.”
― Ursula K. Le Guin
Writing from the heart can be an essential contribution to the personal, social, spiritual and ecological revolutions our times are calling for. By bringing together inspiration from the anarchist and diverse mystical traditions with writing practices and simple techniques for a more meditative approach to writing and to life, this course offers a unique opportunity to reconnect with the freedom of your creative self.
Embodying the spirit we wish to see in the world takes practice. Not to become revolutionary, but rather to undo inherited patterns of wanting to control life. As these patterns come undone, we discover our natural freedom and vitality. We can enjoy effortless reconnection with our self and each other, in a way that allows real community to evolve. We can be ourselves, together.

“We cannot live in a world that is not our own, in a world that is interpreted for us by others. An interpreted world is not a home. Part of the terror is to take back our own listening, to use our own voice, to see our own light.”
Hildegard of Bingen
