Heart Listening
For those times when we need support & understanding
We all have challenging times.
Especially, perhaps, these last few years. It’s not always easy to talk to those who are closest to us. Sometimes we need a friendly ear who isn’t tied up in our daily lives to simply listen.
When the listener is experienced in heart meditation and rests in that place of deep peace while listening, we can really feel it. Sometimes they don’t even need to say anything. Other times, some gentle advice may be offered without any need for it to be followed.
This service is offered free or by donation to support the healing of our world, one heart at a time.
Vishwam
has been listening his whole life. With training in counselling skills and listening from the heart, he offers a safe space for anyone who needs support during tough times.
He has a degree in psychology (Grinnell College, USA) and a PhD in sociology (University of Edinburgh) where his research was listening to people sharing about their experiences of love, sexuality and intimacy. Vishwam has also studied Compassionate Communication (developed by Marshall Rosenberg) as well as discovering a depth of listening to life itself through years of yoga and meditation practice and over 500 hours of Yoga Teacher Training. Basically, he’s that guy on the train or in the shop that you end up telling your life story to without knowing why, but knowing that it’s ok.
“Listening is not a reaction, it is a connection.”
― Ursula Le Guin
