Self Care Christmas Challenge
I don’t know about you, but I can find this time of year difficult. Short days, long journeys, old memories, missed loved ones, wondering if I’ve bought the right gift for someone… and of course, the global situation.
What really helps me is the daily practice of heart meditation and yoga. Little by little all those challenges get easier, lighter. I can smile with compassion at what once felt unbearable. The more we allow ourselves to do that, the lighter the world becomes.
5 Supports for Self Care
over Christmas and beyond
And so I invite you to join me this year in a Self Care Christmas Challege! Instead of getting caught up in the over-consumption and busy-ness of our culture, we could choose peace instead.
1) To support you in this, we have two special evening guided relaxations 8-9pm - one on the longest night (21st) and one on the full moon (27th). These are magical nights for connecting deeply with the Heart of the Life Itself. Offered on gift economy - pay what you feel. All welcome! Please feel free to share with others.
2) My Heart Teacher, Padma Devi, is hosting a special Peace Satsang & Heart Meditation on Christmas Eve, 7-8pm. If you’d like to join, let me know and I’ll send you the link when available.
3) You are also warmly invited to download a special album of Heart Words for Tender Times. Sometimes we all need to hear a reassuring voice that tells us that everything is ok, that we are loved, the life is filled with goodness. This album offers that as well as a few heart meditations to support your practice.
It was designed for those times where you might need to slip out of the room and hear a different voice for a few minutes when maybe family dynamics are too much. Or if you’re feeling a little lonely or sad and just want to feel a friend is near. Having these recordings on your phone is like having a friend in your pocket.
4) Yoga for You - Weekly pre-recorded Gentle Heart Yoga classes to calm the mind and awaken the Heart is now available on pay what you feel basis. What a perfect way to keep your yoga practice going strong over the holidays and beyond.
5) Home for Christmas - a short story written and recorded by Vishwam. Taking time to read or listen to uplifting, heart-warming and inspiring words from the heart can help us in our collective healing.
Wishing you all a peaceful Solstice, loving Christmas and happiest of New Years,
Vishwam
