Wirds o da Haert (Words of the Heart) offers a powerful practice that supports you to tune in directly to the source of creativity and allow your heart’s imagination to flow freely.
Each session includes
a warm welcome and chat
heart meditation — a simple way to feel at home with life
free writing — simply letting words flow from the heart
space to share writing with each other
Whether it comes out as flowing poetry, inspiring fiction, healing autobiography or other expressions of wisdom for life, the heart always seems to know just what to say.
One of the really amazing things we find is that whether you are new to creative writing or a published author, we all experience the same magic of the heart.
Writing in English, Scots, Shaetlan or other languages all welcome.
Give yourself the unique gift of this special time, just for you
to find the natural peace of the heart,
to let your voice sing out across the page,
to enjoy the craft and the freedom of writing from the heart.
Spaces on the course are limited to just 7 participants to keep these sessions cosy, warm and comfortable with plenty of time to share our work. Book early to make this time for your creative heart to shine.
After class there will be time to browse the wonderful book collection and/or pop next door to the Bonhoga Cafe for lunch.
Finances: The course is just £88 for six live, in person sessions. Payment plans are available. If finances are a concern, please do get in touch. Maybe we can help! And if you are blessed with excess in that regard, why not give a little extra to support those who wouldn’t have the resources otherwise. Twenty-five percent of all proceeds goes directly to support the essential work of The Compass Centre.
Covid Care: To help us all relaxed, we ask participants to take a LFT before each session. Of course, if you’re feeling unwell in any way or discover that you’ve been in contact with the virus, please stay at home and rest. Thank you for understanding.
Taster Session
The 30th March Taster Session is by donation to support the work of The Compass Centre (formerly Rape Crisis Shetland). Please give what feels comfortable to you to support their important work helping others to recover and heal.
The taster is limited to 7 participants.
